Domaine de Majas Cortado

ORGANIC 

This ‘Cortado’ is a great example of Majas’ fresh, energetic style: a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Carignan that is made like a cross between rosé and light red. It’s light and bright, falling somewhere between a dark rosé and the perfect chillable red. The fruit is bright and tart, think sour cherries and pomegranate on a rocky, mineral backbone. Serve slightly chilled.

Domaine Majas is based in the commune of Caudiès-de-Fenouillèdes within the Côtes Catalanes on the foothills of the Pyrénées Orientales. Today the Domaine is proud to be working organically with the intention to bottle true representations of the Côtes Catalanes with minimal intervention. They converted all 30 hectares to organic viticulture, as well as eliminated all commercial yeasts, additives, and excessive sulfur in the cellar.
